Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: 19 October 2026
These instructions explain how to delete your data from the Estalara platform, including data received from Meta and other data processed in connection with the Meta (Facebook / Instagram) advertising integration. For general processing rules, see our Privacy Policy.
1. Deleting your entire Estalara account
To permanently delete your account together with your profile and related content, send a request to info@estalara.com from the e-mail address associated with the account. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity. We delete the account without undue delay and inform you of the action taken no later than one calendar month after receiving the request (see Section 5). If we need additional information to complete the request, we will tell you. We retain certain data only where required by law or another valid basis (for example, accounting and tax records) — see Section 8 of the Privacy Policy for details.
Closing your account also deletes all data obtained from Meta through the advertising integration, as described in Section 2.
2. Deleting only data related to the Meta integration
In these instructions, "data obtained from Meta" also includes information derived from that data and copies of it contained in reports, snapshots, and other records. Campaign settings and advertising texts created in the Platform are treated separately only to the extent that they do not contain, and are not derived from, data obtained from Meta.
If you want to delete only data related to the Meta integration, without closing your Estalara account, you have two options with different scopes:
- Disconnecting the integration (Section 3 below) — immediately deletes from our active production systems the Meta connection data: Meta user and business identifiers, access tokens, and the identifiers of the connected advertising account and page. Disconnecting does not delete the campaigns in your Meta advertising account or your campaign history in the Platform (campaign settings, advertising texts, the Meta identifiers of your campaigns, and their delivery and performance data), which remains available to you while your account exists, subject to the earlier deletion described in Sections 3.7 and 8 of the Privacy Policy.
- A Meta data deletion request sent to info@estalara.com — deletes all data obtained from Meta: the connection data listed above, the Meta identifiers of your campaigns, ad sets, ads, and images, ad previews, delivery and performance data, and information derived from them. Such a request also disconnects the integration. Any campaigns still running remain in your Meta advertising account, and you will need to manage or stop them there. If you also want the campaign settings and advertising texts you created in the Platform deleted, say so in your request. If Meta forwards to us a request to delete data relating to your Meta account, we delete the data obtained from Meta in the same scope as for a request sent to us directly.
Of the data obtained from Meta that is covered by the request or by the closing of your account, we keep only (a) records we are required by law to keep, in particular accounting and tax records relating to our advertising fees, which contain data obtained from Meta only to the extent the law requires it, and (b) aggregated statistics that cannot be associated with you, your agency, your advertising account, or any other person, browser, or device. We do not keep data obtained from Meta for the purpose of possible legal claims or fraud prevention, and the general retention periods for security logs do not extend its retention. A request to delete only Meta data does not delete your Estalara account or Platform data unrelated to the integration.
At present, Estalara does not embed or fire the Meta Pixel on its pages and does not send conversion events via the Pixel or the Conversions API, so we do not store Meta event data about visitors on our side.
3. Disconnecting the Meta integration
You can disconnect the integration yourself at any time in Platform settings (Meta integration panel). Disconnecting:
- immediately deletes from our active production systems the Meta user and business identifiers, access tokens, and the identifiers of the connected advertising account and page assigned to your Estalara account;
- stops further Platform access;
- asks Meta to revoke the app's permissions, except where the same Facebook user remains connected to another Estalara account; deletion from our production systems does not depend on the outcome of that request.
You can also revoke the app's permissions directly in Meta: Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites. Revoking the app's permissions in your Meta settings stops Estalara's further access to your Meta account. Once we learn of it, we delete the access token immediately and the connection identifiers within 30 days (see Section 3.7 of the Privacy Policy). Your campaign history in the Platform is not deleted — to delete it, use the procedure described in Section 1 or 2.
4. How to send a request
Send a message to info@estalara.com from the e-mail address associated with the account and include:
- your username or the account e-mail address;
- the scope of the request (the whole account or only Meta data).
Do not include your password, access tokens, or other credentials in the message.
If you no longer have access to the e-mail address associated with the account, contact us from another address and provide information that allows us to securely verify that the account belongs to you. We do not require you to share your password or access tokens.
5. Time to complete
Disconnecting the Meta integration removes the access token and connection identifiers and stops access immediately. We carry out the required deletion without undue delay and handle requests concerning data obtained from Meta promptly. We inform you of the action taken without undue delay and no later than one calendar month after receiving your request. Where the GDPR permits an extension because of the complexity or number of requests, we notify you within that month, explain the reasons, and may extend the response period by up to two further months. This does not postpone deletion required earlier under Meta's terms.
6. Confirmation
If you disconnect the integration yourself, we show a confirmation in the Platform or send it to the e-mail address associated with your account. After completing a request sent by e-mail, we send a confirmation to the address from which the request was received. Data removed from production systems may temporarily remain in encrypted backups, which are isolated from ordinary operations, are not accessible in the normal functioning of the Platform, and are not restored to an active account.
